This Christmas, visitors to the City Square Mall at Farrer Park, will be transported into the underwater world of Spongebob Squarepants and his favourite sidekick, Patrick Star.

This Christmas, immerse yourself into the world of Spongebob Squarepants at City Square Mall.

That’s because at this shopping mall, from now till 3 January, you and your children will literally get to visit Spongebob Squarepants at his pineapple home and test your trampoline skills with a bouncy castle – with a minimum spending of SGD30 at the mall. As well, there are also games to play to, and it is a great event for families to take their Spongebob-loving children to.

Due to the rain and the outdoor location of the exhibition though, there weren’t an awful lot of people lounging around this mall last Saturday when I had been invited to City Square Mall to take a look around. But I observed that the families who were there, really seemed to be having fun and the kids were truly living up their fantasies with Spongebob.

I had a media pass, so I also queued up at some of the booths myself and these certainly would appeal to both the young as well as the young at heart, like myself. For example, I thought that the life-sized plush Spongebob Squarepants figurine seated in the ‘living room’ sofa will certainly leave visiting children and their parents – in awe.

Spongebob Krabby Patty Live Celebration

As well, from now till 20th December, you and your children can catch Spongebob Squarepants in a brand new live show, featuring your kids’ favourite yellow sponge character, as well as his best buddies Patrick and Squidward. In the live performance, they are holding a party to celebrate the Krabby Patty – the best sandwich in Bikini Bottom.

However in the meantime though, the evil Plankton is in the background, brewing sinister plans to steal the Krabby Patty. So it is thus up to Spongebob to save the day and reclaim back the famous Krabby Patty.

At the same time throughout the show, you and your kids will also be well entertained – as the audience will get the chance to sing and dance along to the Krabby Patty Song.

This free show lasts about half an hour and though it may have been the children who were the most eager to sing and dance, this is definitely something that appeals to the young at heart too – as last Saturday, I saw young parents and teenagers grooving energetically to the Spongebob Squarepants tunes, which they probably hear their children singing on a daily basis.

Kids and their families will also get the chance to meet up with Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward and take an exclusive photo with their favourite Bikini Bottom heroes if you or your kids spend a minimum of $50 at the mall, at least one hour prior to the show. It is an opportunity of a lifetime for your Spongebob-loving kids.

Besides the Spongebob Squarepants activities, families can also enjoy a Christmas market selling plenty of beautiful hand-crafted wares as well as having the chance to speak up the festive spirit with light shows and snow play sessions.
