Aims to instil Japanese values in runners
Taking place at 4pm, on 16 July 2016 at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, the 2016 edition of the Mizuno Ekiden will aim to instil traditional Japanese values in runners such as perseverance, teamwork and high performance.
Comprising of teams of four runners who complete a Half or a Full marathon together, the race hopes to give its participants the chance to rediscover and reignite the Japanese spirit and culture. After the evening race, which has a starting time of 4.00pm, runners can also look forward to a scrumptious Japanese matsuri race village showcasing Japanese food, beverages and cultural activities – after their run.
Last year, at the race carnival, some of the activities had included sumo wresting and fishing. Food and drinks on-site had comprised of sushi and Japanese noodles, as well as milkshakes and delicious Japanese snacks.
So runners will certainly have plenty to look forward to, while waiting for their team-mates to complete their legs.Registration Fees
