McDonald’s® Singapore’s stores have introduced three brand new, limited edition flavours to their menus – these are the French Onion Shaker Fries, the delicious Purple Sweet Potato Waffle Cone as well as the mouth-watering KIT KAT® McFlurry®.

This is on top of the long-awaited return of the Spicy Chicken McNuggets® and the introduction of the Curry Sauce Bottle.

Spicy Chicken McNuggets®

Singaporeans can fire up their taste buds with a choice of 6pc, 9pc or 20pc Spicy Chicken McNuggets® from $4.85 a-la-carte, or in a Happy Sharing Box filled with 12pc Spicy Chicken McNuggets® and 8pc McWings from S$12.85.

I bought myself a pack of the 6pc Spicy Chicken McNuggets® and the spicy flavour is quite subtle, coming on as an aftertaste, rather than hitting you immediately in the face.

When I first took a bite of the McNuggets, I did not really taste the spiciness but after swallowing, I realised that it gradually comes at you. And then the more bites you take, too, I realise, the more strongly the spicy flavour comes out.

I thought that this spicy zing was a nice addition to the McNuggets, and it helped to improve one of McDonald’s® Singapore’s® timeless items. In this regard, it had been something familiar, yet it was able to be different and fresh, at the same time.

Otherwise though, these Spicy Chicken McNuggets® are pretty similar to the original McNuggets® in terms of the texture and the crispiness of the batter.

The Highly-Anticipated Curry Sauce Bottle

To accompany your McNuggets, there is also the French Onion Shaker Fries that is available with any upsized Extra Value Meal, while stocks last, for an additional $0.70.

KIT KAT® McFlurry®

And for those with a sweet tooth, they can sink their teeth into the KIT KAT® McFlurry® which consists of McDonald’s signature Soft Serve swirled with chocolate sauce and crunchy KIT KAT® Bites served in a special co-branded McFlurry cup.

I bought and tried the KIT KAT® McFlurry and I thought the combination of chocolate and vanilla soft serve had been quite shiok and delicious, with the addition of the KIT KAT® Bites helping to add some texture to the Soft Serve. 

However at the same time, I did also feel that the sort serve could have been more biscuity, though.

So perhaps in the future, some actual crushed KIT KAT® could have been combined to the vanilla Soft Serve, in addition to the KIT KAT® Bites; I had thought this may have improved the contrast of textures from the dessert, too.
