Due to Covid-19 safety measures and strict limitations on large gathering, the iconic Great Eastern Women’s Run, which I always love participating in, is unable to take place this year.
So instead, to fill this void, Great Eastern has launched the #Lifeproof virtual challenge.
Taking place from now till 8 November, there are a variety of distances – the 2km Mummy + Me, 5km, 10km and 21.1km. So there is something that is available for beginners as well as for seasoned runners.
This run is free to take part in.
To take part in the run, you must be a female aged 18 years or older, and you will also need a GPS-enabled tracker app, a running route of your choice and a personal goal based on your own timing and pace.
Apps that are eligible include Runkeeper, Strava, Garmin connect, Fitbit, Xiaomi, Polar and Nike Run Club.
I have always been a supporter of the iconic Great Eastern Women’s Run and I have always looked forward to taking part in the event, which celebrates girl power and female strength.
So I will be supporting the #Lifeproof challenge this year, and I am hoping to take part in the 21.1km category. I am aiming to complete my run this coming Sunday.
Fellow ladies, I hope to see you taking part too.
If celebrating girl power and strength is not attractive enough, those who compete the distance stand to win some attractive lucky draw prizes such as a $100 Zalora gift card, and the grand prize of Dyson Supersonic hair dryer worth $599.
