(TO PREVIOUS PAGE) He only realized he wasn’t alone when an extremely familiar face, with long, greasy, wavy black hair, dark eyes and a scowling wrinkled face stared straight into his own emerald-green eyes.
Harry backed away, startled and suddenly lost for words.
“Do you want to get away from this desolate prison cell or not? I can lock you back in and leave you here to rot,” the all too familiar voice of Severus Snape scowled, straight into his ear.
Harry’s mind couldn’t quite comprehend what had just happened. He wondered why Snape had rescued him. He was puzzled, but grateful. For he had always thought Snape was a part of the Sith.
“H…how did you get here?” Harry stammered, lost for words.
Keeping his voice to a whisper, Snape said, “Not many know the truth, but I’m actually a Jedi. I’m currently working undercover in the heart of the Sith headquarters as a spy for the Jedi. I’m afraid I couldn’t free you earlier, because there had been a Sith Council meeting on what the Sith should do to you. I had no choice but to be there.”
Snape handed Harry back his wand and lightsabre. “I think you’ll need this,” he said, “I stole it back from the belt of Darth Sauron.”
Harry took them both gratefully, and managed a smile at Snape.
Then Snape continued speaking, “I rescued you with a combination of advanced NEWT level magic and lightsabre skills only a Jedi Master can perform. You would never have been able to free yourself, even if you had tried to. Run away Harry, now! Don’t let them catch you, but don’t worry about me.”
“Thank you Jedi Snape! You’re my saviour and hero!” Harry whispered back. And he didn’t hesitate any longer. He bolted out of the prison cell, and ran, using the Force as his guide to safety. He didn’t look back.
And he was running so fast that he didn’t notice Sith Lord Sauron taking off the One Ring and rematerializing directly in front of Snape.
He didn’t notice a sense of hunger, longing and desperation momentarily developing in Snape’s expression when Snape set his eyes on Sauron’s One Ring.
But, as quickly as it had come, Snape had also quickly extinguished this feeling and kept himself under control, as a true Jedi would.
Darth Sauron didn’t seem to notice Snape’s brief flicker of temptation either.
“You Jedi traitor! You freed their Chosen One!” Darth Sauron scowled, shaking his fist at Jedi Snape. And then, without warning, he summoned a large deadly barrage of sky-blue Force lightning, directly at Snape’s chest.
With Jedi-fast reflexes, Snape whipped out his lightsabre and attempted to deflect the Force lightning back towards Darth Sauron.
At first, he appeared to be succeeding, but Darth Sauron increased the intensity.
And Snape, having trouble withstanding the constantly increasing intensity, winced in immense pain. He was in so much pain, that he began to have trouble keeping the lightning at bay and casting a spell, which could have deflected the lightning away from him.
But being a typical Sith Lord, Darth Sauron remained just as merciless as ever.
Snape tried to block the lightning with his bare hands, but the more he tried, the higher Darth Sauron increased the intensity. The Sith Lord was doggedly determined to take the life of yet another puny Jedi victim.
And soon enough, Snape collapsed and crumbled onto the floor. He was howling in immense pain and agony, perhaps burning and in much more pain than his contorted facial features were letting on. His torso was completely blackened and burnt, to the point that it was unrecognizable.
Soon the heavy amount of Force Lightning took its toll on the all-powerful Darth Sauron too, and completely burned the Sith Lord to ashes, soon after Snape had collapsed. Ironically, it had not been another’s power, but his own, which had destroyed the dark Sith Lord.
And all that was now left of Darth Sauron, was the indestructible One Ring, which lay, glistening and shining, a stark contrast inside the dirty, wet, slimy dungeon.
Suddenly Darth Lucius’ sharp, eagle eyes zoomed in on the One Ring, and he greedily snatched it up, almost immediately. (TO NEXT PAGE)
