Level 492 of the Candy Crush Saga game is another one of the harder levels and players may have trouble beating it. But 24-year-old student Jasmine Jay has managed to do so.

I recently spoke to Jasmine, who hails from Virginia in the USA, to uncover her secrets on beating Level 492. This is what the player said in an interview I had with her.

Jasmine, what is a good way to start this level?

All moves should be aimed at knocking out the meringues. Begin hitting the meringues and once you have unwrapped the jellyfish, work on creating special candies and combos.

What makes this level so challenging?

Most people think the chocolate fountain is a major obstacle, but it depends on how you play the level. Making useless moves will make you a victim of the growing chocolate but if you can make special candies and create combos you won’t have to worry about knocking out the chocolate.

Getting rid of the meringues obviously is the biggest challenge because they are five-layered and you have to create some candy combos to have an opportunity to clear the gels (jelly).

How would you advise players to beat this level?

As I have said, creating special candies is the only way to succeed. But special candies alone won’t be enough to beat this level, though. You will have to create combos to knock out the meringues too.

The colour bombs/striped candies and the wrapped candies/stripped candies are the best combos to create. Using colour bombs alone though, won’t be much help during this level until you have uncovered the gels because as you know, the colour bombs don’t knock out meringues. And if you create a colour bomb, it is best to combine it with a stripped candy.

What should be a player’s main focus, when playing this level?

The main focus is to knock out the meringues. You have 50 moves during this level, and every one of these should be used wisely, to hit a meringue or to create special candies and combos.

Besides the meringues, your main focus should be on creating special candies. You won’t beat this level without making special candies/combos because all the meringues are five-layered.

What are some common mistakes that players make, when they play this level?

Some players tend to focus on the chocolate too much instead of keeping a focus on the meringues. As long as you are making special candies, you will be fine. The meringues prevent the chocolate from taking over the game board. Just keep an eye on the chocolate and don’t allow it to grow up the sides.

Another mistake that some people make, is to waste moves. Don’t use up too many of your moves trying to eliminate the meringues. You have to create special candies to beat this level.

At the beginning, it is fine to start hitting the meringues. But once you have uncovered the jellyfish, work on creating special candies and combos.
