You are supposed to bring two cherries and two hazelnuts to the bottom of the board in 55 moves, scoring 40,000 points at the same time – in this level of the Candy Crush Saga game.
Level 288 can be beaten too
But as soon as you are presented with this level, what you will probably notice is that the game board takes on a very awkward shape. The bottom layer, where you are supposed to get the four ingredients to, is all by itself and separated from the rest of the board, and this makes the level quite challenging, as a result. The five-layered meringue squares that directly block the exit path of the ingredients only adds to the hard nature of this particular level.
So then, how do you beat Level 288 in Candy Crush Saga?
Set off the striped candies at the bottom
You will probably have noticed the five striped candies encased within a layer of marmalade. Try and set these candies off as soon as you can, so that you will be able to clear some of the meringue and get the ingredients to the bottom.
Create striped + wrapped candy combinations
A striped + wrapped candy combination is good to clear the meringue and set off the striped candies that are locked. This combination will destroy three vertical columns of the board and take a layer of meringue along with it – with each blast of a striped + wrapped candy combination. So try your best to create these combinations and look out for them.
Striped candy + colour bomb combination
This is another potent combination at this level. If you are able to get a colour bomb and combine this with a striped candy, you will be able to clear a large chunk of the game board, and take plenty of meringue along with it. And once you do so, you will be well on your way to completing Level 288 in the Candy Crush Saga.
Creating vertical striped candies
Once the meringue is cleared at this level, or most of it anyway, then you should try and speed up the process of the ingredients moving to the bottom of the board, by creating vertical striped candies. This should immediately blast an ingredient from the top to the bottom of the game board, but will only work once the meringues have been cleared. Otherwise you may just end up with an ingredient on top of a “dead area” that will need extra work to reach the bottom of the game board.

I am stuck 288 candy crush
I have been stuck on level 288 for 2 months. I don’t see how you can set off those bottom striped candies when they are encased. And you never get the combinations to set them off. This is the longest I’ve been on any level and I am just about ready to give up. I think a lot of these so called “tips and cheats ” don’t really work 90 percent of the time. I’m frustrated with this. Until someone gives me something tangible, I’ll probably be stuck on this for a year.
Hi. I have found that if you simply stay away from Candy Crush for a while i.e. two weeks, and then go back to the game, you will suddenly be able to clear the level. Try that?
