Recently, the joint developers of The Garden Residences, Wing Tai Asia and Keppel Land, organised their first community event. This was a day-long Garden Party with a fitness and wellness theme, held adjacent to their upcoming showflat at Serangoon North Avenue 1.
Event attracted people from all walks of life
The event attracted individuals, families and their pets and there was plenty of activities for everyone.
The venue was divided into four pavilions – the Health Sanctuary, The Pet’s Corner, The Gourmet Counter and the GardenScape.
Events and activities
Kids had the chance to channel their inner Picasso, taking part in hands on creative activities like plant stamping and kite making. There were also carnival foods available such as popcorn, candy floss and ice cream sandwiches available for kids to satisfy their sweet tooth.
As well, for parents, there was an artisanal coffee brewer on-site, for them to get their coffee fix.
Pets also had the chance to indulge in pet treats and grooming services as well as pet obedience training services.
And for those who were health conscious, there had been a mass yoga session led by SoulScape’s co-founder as well as a healthy eating workshop by Juliana Halim, a celebrity nutritionist.
Also, targeted at home-makers and chefs, the Herb and Spice Garden also allowed party goers to find out more about popular herbs and how these can be used in cooking.
Developers hoped to spread the message of holistic health and wellness
Through this carnival, the developers hoped to reach out to the Serangoon community and spread the positive message of holistic health and wellness, which was the theme of their new property.
There is more to being fit than purely exercising
This is because they strongly believe that there is much more to being fit than simply exercising.
Rather, other factors such as your mental well being, and a sense of community and wellness, are also equally important.
However, private estates are lacking in a sense of community and wellness.
But Wing Tai hopes to change this; when it comes to individuals and fitness goals, it is not possible to simply change a single aspect of one’s life.
Rather it is important to reassess what one is used to. A strong support system is also needed as well as a community in order to do it well.
