Come May 20, Singapore’s number one active mobility lifestyle app, RIDEnjoy will be hosting FEMMES FIRST, the first-ever female-focused mass cycling event – at the Stadium Riverside Walk, Singapore Sports Hub.
See Combines real world cycling with augmented reality
The event will consist of a blend of real-world cycling with augmented reality gamification and location-based rewards via participants’ mobile phones.
Said Kelvin Phang, Founder, RIDEnjoy, “Unlike conventional cycling events where participants might drive or commute by public transport to the start/finish point, FEMMES FIRST require participants to cycle to the finish venue for an eco-friendly, inclusive and immersive post-ride celebration. This format has never been done before and reduces the event’s nett carbon footprint, while creating a green legacy.”
An International Women’s Day celebration
The event is being held in celebration of International Women’s Day and to encourage more female cyclists to join, the first 520 ladies who registered had their entry fee waived.
Categories
Female cyclists have a choice of three ride categories as follows.
- Start Anywhere – cycle from anywhere across the island to Stadium Riverside Walk
- City to Kallang – start from 30 Maxwell Road and cycle 10km via bike paths to Marina Bay and Marina Barrage before ending at the Sports Hub
- RIDEnjoy Kallang – Starts and finishes at Stadium Riverside Walk. This is an 8km ride around Tanjong Rhu and Kallang Bay
Participants may choose between morning or afternoon start times, with post-ride celebrations beginning at 9am for morning riders and 6pm for evening riders. Live music from buskers like Arya Yunata and guitarStreet will be played, along with a dawn to dusk DJ set being played. There will also be games and prizes such as a 5-star staycations and overseas cycling trips to be won.
Finishers will also receive a plantable finishers medal made of seed paper, a seedling from flora and landscaping company Sing See Soon and a RIDEnjoy party pack.
Celebrates cyclists from all walks of life
An inclusive mobility parade where both the able-bodies and differently-abled will appear on different mobility modes and bicycles from different eras is the key highlight of the post-ride parties.
As well, early birds who were able to sign up before 15 April will also go into a lucky draw to win a pair of tickets to watch Blackp!nk at the National Stadium in May.
Cycling is the number three sport in Singapore behind jogging and walking. 36% of those who cycle in Singapore are female and this is higher than the USA where the female cyclist population is at 28%.
The RIDEnjoy app reached 15,200 participants for its RIDEnjoySG blended event and this Singapore born and bred app was the ranked number one lifestyle app in Apple’s App Store within ten days of being launched.

Hello,
I have been cycling to the sportshub from Chai Chee almost every year for the ocbc cycle event! So your mention about never been done before is wrong. Haha!
Anyway, I have also register for this event and trying to get a few other cyclist friends to join.
See you on May 20th!
Hello! I think what they are referring to is the concept and design of the event. Haha. Ocbc cycle is a fixed route fixed distance event where you cycle on closed roads. And yes, see you there!
