The latest addition to the 100PLUS isotonic drinks range, the brand new 100PLUS Zero Sugar, promises to refresh, rehydrate and replenish the electrolytes that your body needs after your runs or other forms of physical activity – with zero sugar and zero calories.
100PLUS is produced by Fraser & Neave (F&N), a leading South East Asian Consumer Group with expertise and prominent standing in the Food & Beverage and Publishing & Printing industries in Singapore.
Over the last decade, F&N has embarked on a journey to reduce the sugar content in its drinks. 100PLUS recognises too, that individuals need time to calibrate their taste preferences to reduce their sugar intake and move towards a healthier lifestyle.
Billed as the perfect choice of isotonic drink for, during and after sports, the original 100PLUS rehydrates with refreshing fizz and the 100PLUS Active fuels active lifestyles with a non carbonated version of electrolytes and Vitamin B to fight fatigue and tiredness.
Be it whether you are competing at running races, sports competition, on a hiking trail or spending the day at the beach, 100PLUS had always been present to quench thirst and support your hydration needs.
Offering zero sugar and zero calories in a daily, functional electrolyte drink that is both refreshing and delightful, 100PLUS Zero Sugar replenishes your lost sodium and potassium through perspiration.
100PLUS Media Drop by F&N
F&N sent me a media drop consisting of two bottles of the 100PLUS Zero Sugar – for my reviewing.
Trying out the 100PLUS Zero Sugar Drink
For the purpose of this review, I compared the 100PLUS Zero Sugar drink with another bottle of the 100PLUS Active, and I can taste the difference in the sweetness level. When I tasted the 100PLUS Active followed by the 100PLUS Zero Sugar drink, I can detect that there is definitely more sugar present in the 100PLUS Active.
But then strangely enough, when I drink them the other way around though, the sweetness level in the 100PLUS Zero Sugar and the 100PLUS Active both seem to be fairly similar.
That aside though, the 100PLUS Zero Sugar drink did not really have much other flavour to it, but I think that it does definitely feel refreshing – especially when you consume it straight out from the fridge when you are feeling tired and parched after a hard run.
It must be noted that 100PLUS Zero Sugar is a carbonated drink.
The 100PLUS Zero Sugar also carries the Healthier Choice Symbol by the Health Promotion Board Singapore.
And beginning from mid February, the 100PLUS Zero Sugar will be available at leading supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores across Singapore at a recommended selling price of S$0.80 for 325ml cans, S$1.20 for 500ml convenient bottles and S$1.90 for 1.5L take-home bottles.
Limited edition 100PLUS Double-Wall Cold Cup
Also, in addition to the 100PLUS Zero Sugar drink, my media drop from F&N had also consisted of two double-wall cold cups in white and matte black colours respectively.
These cups are supposed to provide easy access to refreshing hydration whilst on the go, as they are designed to keep cold drinks chilled for a prolonged time.
And when they arrived, I had felt that the double-wall cold cups were quite attractive looking and the streamlined design had been also rather sleek and elegant too.
My cups were also packaged in a square box that was wrapped up with blue paper for the black cup, and white paper for the white one. I had thought that the presentation was quite nice and this had also really protected the cup from getting scratched.
If you’ll like to get one of the double-wall cold cups for yourself, 100PLUS will be giving away a cold cup with every S$12 purchase of 100PLUS products, including at least one 100PLUS Zero Sugar product.
Normally, these double-wall cold cups would be worth S$12.90 each. So this means that you are indeed getting value for your money, here.
The promotion will also last from 1 March 2018 to 12 April 2018 at leading supermarkets and hypermarkets across Singapore while stocks last. So do hurry, if you wish to get your hands on a cup.
