In less than 60 days, prepare to be amazed by the amazing flavours presented to you by new and seasoned gelato artisans.
That’s because the second edition of the Gelato World Tour, to be held at Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands, will kick off on 20 March. This event will make Singapore, Asia’s first Gelato Capital of the world, and the extraordinary event for gelato lovers, will celebrate fifty years of the Republic of Singapore, quite literally, in the coolest way possible.
Top gelato artisans will pit themselves against each other
At the show, gelato artisans will pit themselves up against each other, in the quest to win the prestigious World’s Best Gelato title.
At the 2013-2014 edition, the title was won by Sydney’s John Crowl, from Cow and the Moon Gelateria and this has piqued the interest of gelato artisans from Oceania. His winning flavour was the Almond Affogato, which is a combination of the flavours from almond nuts and iced coffee.
Last year’s Gelato World Tour was impressive
Last year’s inaugural World Tour featured five continents and an impressive response from around the world – with 700,000 consumers, 43,000kg of gelato produced as well as 360,000 cups and 576,000 mini cones of gelato being produced. More than 7 million Euros of advertising revenue was generated from that event, which ended in September 2014.
And now, the 2014-2015 Gelato World Tour hopes to top these stunning figures.
Will be headed to other famous cities around the globe
After Singapore, the Gelato World Tour will also make its way to other famous cities around the globe, such as Tokyo in September 2015, as well as Shanghai, New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Sao Paulo and Monaco.
The president of the Jury Selection Stage has been identified
This prestigious appointment for the President of the Jury Selection Stage goes to Pang Kok Keong, Chef and founder of Sugar Daddy Group, which delighted patrons with its sweet creations from the kitchens of the Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore and the Hilton Hotel.

Directed by the prestigious Carpigiani Gelato University in Italy
Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Gelato World Tour is directed by Italy’s prestigious Carpigiani Gelato University and will host an exclusive Gelato Charity Dinner to precede the event – where gelato will take centre-stage from appetiser to dessert. All proceeds from the dinner as well as the profits generated from samples of gelato will be donated to charity.
