With the introduction of a new mobile pizza tracking feature, Pizza Hut will be taking the guesswork out of pizza delivery for customers in Singapore.
Real time visibility into the status of pizza orders
The new mobile tracking feature means that customers can have real-time visibility into the status of their orders, and will know when their pizza orders leave the restaurant, which route the rider takes when making his way to their homes and when the pizza will be reaching them.
Said Joyce Tan, Senior Marketing Director, Pizza Hut Singapore, “Pizza Hut pioneered the pizza delivery service in Singapore and ever since then, we are constantly pushing the envelope for better delivery service and customer satisfaction.”
She continued, “Everyone loves their pizzas hot and fresh. The ability to track the pizza when it is being delivered gives customers visibility of where their food is in transit, and exactly when the pizza is reaching their doorstep and be ready to receive it when it arrives.”
“Hot Dot Likes It Hot”
As well, customers will be able to get hot and delicious pizzas on time every time, or they are entitled to a large pizza for free – as part of the “Hot Dot Likes It Hot” service, which the brand has also newly introduced.
This “Hot Dot” is a heat sensitive thermo-chromic sticker pasted on the pizza take-out box. It is originally black but the word HOT appears in bold red with a grey background when the pizza is piping hot, assuring customers of a hot and hearty meal from Pizza Hut’s ovens to their homes.
Pizza Hut to keep customers in the know
Said Tan, “The ‘Hot Dot’ assures customers of a hot pizza with a visible proof of a sticker. Keeping customers in the know during the delivery process and being able to prove that the pizza is hot upon arrival ensures a smooth delivery process and more satisfying experience for the customer.”
She continued, “So this motivates our team to be even more efficient and focused on delivering pizzas faster and better.”
“Hot Dot” technology first came into existence in 2003
A version of the ‘Hot Dot’ was first introduced in 2003 in the form of a Hot Pouch to keep pizzas hot until they reached their customers’ doorsteps.
Then in 2009, the ‘Hot Dot’ was introduced and then this year, on top of reintroducing the ‘Hot Dot’, Pizza Hut has enhanced the pizza delivery experience with the new mobile pizza tracking feature utilisation and delivery systems to perfect the promise of delivering hot and delicious pizzas to everyone across Singapore.
