The Sundown Marathon, Asia’s largest Night Marathon, is back to thrill runners – for the eighth year running.

Sundown Marathon is back in 2015!

Features a brand new category – the 5KM Fun Run

Organised by HiVelocity Events, the 2015 edition of Sundown Marathon will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2014 at the F1 Pit Building – home to Singapore’s other Night Race, the Formula One.

This year, Sundown Marathon will also feature a brand new category – the 5KM Fun Run (Child Category), where children and youths between the ages of six to 16 can enjoy the sights and sounds of running at night.

Competitive Race Categories

For runners above the age of 17, they can take part in the 5KM Fun Run (Adult Category), or challenge themselves further with the timed categories – these are the 10KM Competitive Run, the 21.1KM Half Marathon and the 42.195KM Full Marathon.

Sundown Like A Rockstar

Besides the brand new 5KM Fun Run category, there is also the ‘Sundown Like A Rockstar’ programme, whereby runners can be pampered and enjoy the finer things in life. Privileged runners who are part of this initiative, can enjoy various perks such as a chauffeured transport service to and from the race site, priority queue for the Race Entry Pack Collection and race day message services, priority entry into the start line area and entry into the prestigious post-race VIP lounge.

On top of that, these runners will also receive exclusive Sundown Marathon Glow In The Dark tee and exclusive goodies courtesy of the race sponsors. And the price for this priority treatment? All runners need to do, is to add an extra $100 to their race fees.

Sundown Marathon Gives Runners the Chance to Challenge Their Limits

Having been the first Night Race to be nominated twice for the prestigious International Sports Event Management (ISEM) Awards, and more recently, the Marketing Events Awards for the Best Sports-Oriented Event, the Sundown Marathon looks set to give even more runners than ever, the chance to step out of their comfort zone and challenge their limits – especially with the introduction of the new race categories.

About 30,000 Runners Targeted

This year, about 30,000 participants are targeted for the 2015 event – this is a massive leap from the 6,000 runners that Sundown Marathon attracted in its inaugural year, in 2008.
