Bliss Out 2015, Singapore’s Largest Yoga and Music Festival, takes place this coming Saturday evening – and I will share some highlights of what to expect, with you.
Night begins at 5.00pm with well-known yoga practitioners
The magical evening begins at 5.00pm with two yoga sessions conducted by well-known Singaporean yoga practitioners Lynn Yeo and Sumei Shum as well as Sianna Sherman, who is based in Los Angeles and has been featured as one of the top 21 most talented young teachers by the Yoga Journal.
Yeo and Shum will be teaching a more basic beginner’s class, while Sherman will be in charge of a more intermediate to advanced yoga class.
Sianna, who has been practising yoga for the past 26 years, finds it as a great way to achieve inner happiness and to be satisfied with oneself and achieving balance in life.
She said, in an interview with Bliss Out, “I was depressed at the age of 19, due to eating disorders and substance abuse and found myself praying for my happiness every day. Yoga was first suggested to me at 20 years old and it showed me the way of inner happiness.”
Doors to Bliss Out 2015 open at 4.00pm for the Yoga & Music ticket holders.
Concert performances by well-known groups
Following the two enlightening yoga sessions, there will be concert performances by well-known groups from around the world.
As such, doors to Bliss Out 2015 will open for Concert Only ticket holders at 7.00pm at the South Gate and 7.30pm at the North Gate.
Music will be performed by The Naked and Famous – a Kiwi indie electronic band and also Inch Chua (iNCH), who is a home-grown singer and songwriter who has made her mark around the world.
Currently based in Los Angeles, the Kiwi-born members from The Naked and Famous are currently in the process of writing and recording their third album and at the same time, they are using Bliss Out to prepare for their return to the stage next year.
The band is excited to be performing in Singapore. Said band vocalist and keyboarder Alisa Xayalith in an interview with Bliss Out, “It’ll be energy fuelled! We are so excited to be playing. We have spent the last year working on the next album so we haven’t had the chance to play any shows this year. We may showcase some new material.”
Likewise, iNCH is also looking forward to her Singapore gig at the Bliss Out 2015 event. She said in an interview with Bliss Out, “On Saturday, you can expect all the magical nature sound of my new songs from my latest record, Letters To Ubin. As well, I will be accompanied with some of the best musicians in Singapore.”
So as such, she adds that it will be a very exciting time for not only her, but for the concert-goers who are attending the festival as well.
Plenty of food and beverages and other entertainment
At the same time, you can also expect plenty of food and beverages such as popsicles, churros, kebabs and beer – to refuel your energy levels after your yoga session at Bliss Out 2015, or if you are feeling slightly peckish after singing your heart out to your favourite songs.
There is also a hammock area for those who want to catch some rest as well as a photo wall for the selfie kings and queens.
