Coyote Ugly Saloon – a well-known American bar and restaurant brand that is dubbed as the most famous bar on the planet – is coming to Singapore, and they are launching an island-wide search for Coyotes.
The Coyote Ugly Saloon will be taking over the premises that was formerly the f-Club at Clarke Quay and launches in January 2020. They will be operating 7 days a week with choreographed dance routines taking place each night.
Bar inspired a cult movie
The bar inspired the cult movie of the same name, and features female bartenders and dancers called Coyotes amidst a fun environment.
The Coyote Ugly brand began with Lillana Lovell in 1992. Sick of working for other people, the former Wall Street apprentice quit her job and started working behind the bar. Her quick wit, antics and the ability to take your last dollar eventually led to her opening the first Coyote Ugly outlet in New York City.
Two Disney executives walked into the bar one day and had such a great time that they wound up producing a movie about it – in 2000, Touchstone Pictures and producer Jerry Brukheimer released the film Coyote Ugly directed by Michael Bay and stared Piper Perabo, Maria Bello and Adam Garcia.
Recruitment campaign for bartenders, dancers and singers
Now, to fill their 20 Coyote positions at the new Singapore outlet, Coyote Ugly Saloon is launching a recruitment campaign for bartenders, dancers and singers. Successful candidates also get to travel for guest stints in the bar’s 26 Coyote Ugly Saloon locations worldwide.
Franchise outlets are in the US, UK, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Japan and have grossed over $34 million in 2017. Lovell herself is personally involved in the recruitment and training of Coyotes.
