The new HyperGEL-SAI and HyperGEL-KAN are the two latest additions to ASICS’ HyperGEL series series, which combines vibrant street style together with high performance GEL technology proprietary to ASICS.

Developed and tested in the Institute of Sports Science in Kobe, Japan, the shoes provide versatility during a run, in the gym or on the street, and reduces impact and preserves energy, allowing for improved comfort and endurance as well as movement.

Explained series designer Takayuki Ueda, “ASICS is a global brand with a uniquely Japanese heritage – our business is the result of the remix effect that you get by bringing East and West together. In the spirit of the remix, ASICS HyperGEL was designed as a bridge between sport and street cultures.”

Combine street style and technology 

As such, the two new shoe models, combining their balance of style and technology, give consumers the freedom to move in various scenes of their lives.

The HyperGEL Midsole present in both models, integrates foam and GEL™ technology to offer 30 per cent more bounce than standard EVA. And the HyperGEL cushioning and rebound provides superior form restoration so that you will be feeling comfortable on your feet the whole day.

Said Ueda, “HyperGEL-SAI and HyperGEL-KAN are ‘genre-less’ in the sense that they are adaptable and easily fit into either a sport or street setting.”

Both shoes also feature a hexagonal heel patch containing a Japanese character – “mind” on the left foot and “body” on the right, representing ASICS’ fundamental brand philosophy of “Sound Mind in a Sound Body.”

The HyperGEL-SAI™ comes in Black/Samba or Black/Black colour-ways for the men, and Black/Pink Glo or Black/Black colour-ways for the ladies.

This shoe is now available at all ASICS retail stores across Singapore (Paragon, Velocity, Bugis, WestGate, Suntec City, Plaza Singapura, Nex, VivoCity) and it has a recommended retail price of S$159.

HyperGEL-KAN

And here are the main features for the HyperGEL-KAN.

This shoe comes in Black/Directorie Blue or White/Peacoat colour-ways for men and Black/Aquarium or White/Fiery Red colours for women.

And this is available from August 31st at all ASICS retail stores across Singapore and it has a recommended retail price of S$199.
