To usher in 2022, the facades of three iconic Singapore landmarks will come alive with vibrant projections showcasing the spirit of giving.
Presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority in support of the movement, Singapore Together, this is one of the main highlights of the Marina Bay Singapore countdown 2022.
Showcases heartwarming stories that spotlight spirit of giving
It showcases 15 artworks by local students depicting heartwarming stories of previous years, with the hope of inspiring hope and optimism for the year ahead.
This project, named Share the Moment, is a community project organised in partnership with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre in support of their vision for a City of Good.
Intricate artworks are by local students
Students from nine local educational institutes took inspirational stories from the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Awards 2021 nominees and translated these into creative and intricate artworks which are projected onto the facades of the Fullerton, Merlion and artScience museum at Marina Bay Sands.
The stories illustrate Singaporeans of all backgrounds striving to work together to achieve the vision of a caring and equal society and aim to rally the community together through an uplifting visual experience.
Sneak preview of the projections
Members of the media were given a sneak preview of the projection prior to their official launch on the 26th of December.
We were taken out on a boat along the Marina Bay to view the projections for ourselves and they are definitely stunning against the Singapore night sky.
