A key challenge during the Covid-19 global pandemic is the difficultly in tracking, monitoring and detecting infected individuals and protecting those at risk.
Now, fret no longer. Remote Patient Monitoring specialist Assisted and Advanced Remote Monitoring LLC (AARM) and sister company Advanced Wearables Inc (AWI) have come up with a 360-degree solution for monitoring and isolating Covid-19 cases in partnership with Internet of Things (IoT) company KaHa.
Their device, named Continuous Covid Monitoring+ (CCM+) uses smart wearables to monitor temperature, heart rate and other metrics and provides real-time data to doctors and authorities for quick response.
Said KaHa founder and CEO Pawan Gandhi, “The ongoing pandemic is a serious international public health affair that will affect everyone and with our partner AARM, we are setting CCM+ up carefully but speedily so that it can make a measurable difference. It is a collaborative effort to solve the Covid-19 crisis.”
If abnormalities are detected, the device advises the user to seek medical attention and prompts them to report any symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and so on, providing patients with actionable intelligence.
Said Abigail Aboitiz, Co-Founder of AARM and AWI, “We are rolling out CCM+ as a matter of urgency as time is of the essence in saving lives from Covid-19 and we will deploy it with several medical groups from mid-April.”
As well, these devices also detect and reinforce social distancing and quarantine requirements by alerting patients, doctors and authorities.
Said the CEO of three acute care hospitals, David Kowalski, “I highly recommend AARM for their ability to monitor patients and regular the flow of visitors as we attempt to contain the spread of Covid-19.”
