At the 2019 F1 New Balance eSports Pro Series at the Gfinity eSports Arena in London, Ferrari Driver Academy’s David Tonizza extended his lead in the Driver’s Standings, and following closely behind in second place was Frederik Rasmussen from Red Bull Racing eSports Team. Completing the top three was Jarno Opmeer from Renault Sport Team Vitality.

The Races
The championships saw all 10 official eSports teams battle it out on F1 2019, the official F1® video game developed by CodeMasters.
For the first race, the drivers took on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada with Tino Naukkarinen and Jarno Opmeer going head to head, and the Finn receiving a three second penalty because he collided when entering the pits. Renault achieved their best finish of the season with Cedric Thome and Jarno Opmeer coming in first and third.
Then after that, the second race, which took place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, and saw Tonizza snatching pole position and held Rasmussen at bay to eventually win the race, thanks to multiple penalties that were given through the course of the race.
And last but not least, the final race took place at Silverstone, and a surprise win for SportsPesa Racing Point F1 eSports Team put Marcel Kiefer on the top step of the podium in their first win of the series.
The Overall Standings
Following the evening showing, the overall standings are as follows.
Now with the dust having barely settled on the evening, the teams will be shifting their attention to the next live event on November 6th with all things to play for ahead of the final on December 4th to win a share of the ultimate prize, which is half a million dollars.
Red Bull Racing eSports Team will be looking to defend their position at the top of the standings and likewise, Tonizza will be eager to hold on to his lead. The action will be taking place at circuits in Germany, Belgium and Italy.
