Nike’s most advanced football ever, the Ordem 3, will make its world debut in a tournament – at the Barclays Asia Trophy 2015 – in Singapore. This takes place in just two weeks’ time.
The Nike Ordem 3 is the official ball of the 2015/16 season in the Barclays Premier League, La Liga BBVA and Serie A TIM – and was launched globally today, in both Nike stores as well as online.
All four matches will feature the Nike Ordem 3
All four matches at the Barclays Asia Trophy will be played using this updated and improved ball. The design of the ball draws on 15 years’ experience of providing advanced, innovative balls for top-tier football leagues. The first match to utilise the Ordem 3 will be the Everton v Stoke City game – at 6pm at the National Stadium, on Wednesday 15 July.
Main features of the Ordem 3
The main feature of the Ordem 3 is that it delivers accurate flight, consistent touch and maximum visibility.
Nike Football’s pinnacle proprietary aerodynamic technology, Nike Aerowtrac grooves, are also designed to provide an accurate and stable flight. This ensures a steady flow of air across the ball no matter what speed it is moving at.
A geometric 12-panel design also enhances the Ordem 3’s flight – whilst pressure is distributed evenly throughout the ball. The result is thus a consistent, accurate and powerful feel, with the first touch optimized by a fuse-welded synthetic leather casing.
This reliable and responsive first touch is also combined with an explosive strike – a 6-wing, carbon-latex air chamber. This allows the Ordem 3 to accelerate off the foot at pace.
Designed to help keep pace with the evolution of football
Each year football at the elite level gets faster. The Ordem 3 is designed to help keep pace with and facilitate this evolution. The distinctive, bold Visual Power Graphic printed across the Ordem 3’s 12 panels also helps players catch sight of the ball faster, thus facilitating rapid decision-making, instant reactions and enhanced performance.
