The Germany National Football Team’s home kit for Euro 2016 has been unveiled.
Took place at a concert at the Football Base in Berlin
This had taken place at a concert yesterday at the Football Base in Berlin – where German National Team players Lukas Podolski, Emre Can, Jonas Hector and German Rap-Superstar Cro revealed the home kit – in front of 700 young fans.
A classic black and white look for Germany
For the new kit, Die Mannschaft will be using a classic black and white look. This consists of a white jersey combined with black shorts and blacks socks to create a timeless outfit which fans of all generations can identify with.
The front of the journey will display a “success bar code” graphic that represents the titles and successes at previous World and European Championships. On the sleeves will be displayed the years of these victories.
The famous adidas three stripes are not on the sleeves but on the side. And Germany’s colours of black-red-gold decorates the seam.
Said Bastin Schewinsteiger, the Captain of the Germany national team, “The jersey represents success and the classic colours fit perfectly together.”
Added his team-mate Oliver Bierhoff, “The design of the new home kit is classy and very clean. Therefore the jersey stands for the way that we would like to see the team play during EURO 2016 in France – focused, straightforward and efficient.”
Home kit will make its pitch debut tomorrow in Paris
Germany’s new home kit will make its pitch debut tomorrow, Friday 13 November, during the friendly match against France in Paris.
