Ahead of the 2023/2024 football season in Europe, football fans in Singapore can look forward to a week of scintillating football action at the Singapore festival of football driven by CDC Zig. This will be taking place from 26 July – 2 August.

The teams coming

The teams who will grace Singapore with their presence are Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, Bayern Munich and AS Roma and they will be playing at the National stadium.

The event had its official launch earlier this week at the Pan Pacific hotel.

Bird Paradise at Mandai 

Then following the launch, football legends, who were at the launch – John Barnes (Liverpool), Emile Heskey (Leicester), Giovane Elber (Bayern Munich), Gary Mabbutt (Tottenham) and Marco Cassetti (Roma) had lunch at the Crimson Restaurant and then headed to the Bird Paradise in Mandai.

The legends learnt more about hornbills and fed them blueberries.

A fun kick about with 60 lucky children

Following this, they enjoyed a kick about with more than 60 lucky children aged eight to 11 from the Lion City Sailors Football Academy and the ActiveSG Football Academy.

The Lion City Sailors are the partners in football for the Singapore festival of football driven by CDC Zig.
