The first running event by Lazada 

Taking place in six different countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and finally, Singapore, the Lazada Run 2023 is the first-ever running event organised by e-commerce platform Lazada.

Singapore on 23 July

The Singapore race will be taking place on 23 July 2023 at Marina Barrage. 

The race routes have yet to be finalised, but all participants can expect scenic routes around the Bay covering Singapore’s iconic landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer and the iconic F1 Pit Building.

Experiential activities and promotions  

As well, to recreate the joy of shopping on Lazada, the race will feature experiential activities from running and sports brands as well as exclusive offers and promotions, which Lazada are well-known for. 

Marcus Chew, Chief Marketing Officer, Lazada Group, said, “We want to make Lazada Run an event where we can grow our digital reach and connect with our customers as we inspire and enable them to add more to life, starting with fitness.”

PUMA are the event sponsors

The event will be using PUMA as the official race apparel sponsors. 

Runners will receive a Puma running tee and for the 21.1km finishers, there will also be a finisher tee. All categories will receive a finisher medal. As well, Voost performance capsules and Nature One dairy oat milk are some of the other items that runners can expect to receive in their race packs. 

Categories and prize winners’ pool 

The total prize pool will be USD $3,500 each for men and women for the 21.1km category and USD $2,000 each for the 10km category. 

Besides the competitive 21.1km and 10km categories, there is also a 5km non-competitive category and a Kids Dash to encourage the juniors aged 12 and under to stay active.

Furthermore, kids signing up for the Kids Dash will receive a cute Lazzie plushie in their race packs.

So do encourage your little ones to join the race. Psst , and if Mummy or Daddy secretly wants the plushie for themselves, it’s ok, I won’t tell!

Do note that you will need to have the Lazada app installed on your phone to register for the race. 

Early Bird registration fees start at $35 for the Kids Dash, $36 for 5km, $52 for 10km and $64 for 21.1km.
