Purpose recently reached out to me to review their stuff.

Here is my review on Purpose’s Hypermesh Pro running singlet and running cap. 

Women’s Running Singlet Hypermesh Pro (Blush)

Hypermesh is a mesh fabric that is strong and sturdy yet lightweight and breathable for high performance and comfort in Singapore’s brutal humidity. It is proven to perform at over 90% humidity.

Purpose fit and cutting is Asian sizing. So remember to size up if you are used to Western sizing.

My singlet is a Women’s S size and it fits me well. The cutting is also nice on me.

The material is thin and the texture is a little coarser than I am used to, but it does not rub or chafe against the skin and feels quite comfortable to wear. 

For the performance of the singlet, I have tried it out on several runs, including the T100 triathlon where I ran the 18km run leg at 11:30am. Singaporeans will know that this is generally the hottest time of day where the weather is relentless.

When I finished the run, the singlet was completely wet and soaked through, both due to the humidity and the fact that I was pouring water on and icing myself to stay cool. 

Following the run, I tested the singlet’s drying properties and it took about 90 minutes for it to dry completely.

5 Panel Camper Cycling and Running Cap Grey

This is a multi-purpose cap designed for everyday use. Made in Singapore, it protects you from the harsh tropical rays of the equatorial sun.

It is made of 100% nylon outershell and the innerband is 100% polyamide.

The cap is comfortable and easy to wear. I also used it for the T100 run leg and have been using it as my regular cap since then. It is lighter than many other caps I have and I feel it is very breathable. It does not make my head feel stuffy. I will definitely continue using this cap.
