Race for Good took place last Saturday at Angsana Green, East Coast Park, raising more than $255,000 in support of The Salvation Army’s efforts to help vulnerable children, elderly, ex-offenders and their families, and migrant workers in Singapore. The event had been organised by TriFactor and this year marked its second edition.
Graced by Guest of Honour Mr. Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education, the run attracted nearly 1,500 participants, including supporters and beneficiaries of The Salvation Army.
Heavy rain in the morning threatened to derail the event. But participants were not deterred, braving the weather to create an unforgettable and memorable running experience at East Coast Park.
Said Dr. Mark Barnabas Lee, Project Lead, TriFactor, “This partnership with The Salvation Army demonstrates TriFactor’s commitment to inclusivity and giving back to the community. We are honoured to be part of such a meaningful initiative.”
Added Elvin Ting, Founder, TriFactor, “We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to work alongside The Salvation Army in raising funds that will directly impact the lives of those in need.”
The event further strengths TriFactor’s mission of promoting health, fitness and social responsibility. With every event organised, TriFactor hopes to continue to be a platform for bringing communities together whilst also supporting charitable causes at the same time.
