This coming weekend, on 5 & 6 September, Majulah Movement are organising their first-ever virtual run – all for a good cause.
The run is to raise more awareness and funds for Majulah Movement, a non-profit initiative that aims to raise funds to purchase and deliver Set Meals and Treat Packs for our Healthcare Staff and Migrant friends.
And local running club, The High Panters, have pledged to contribute a combined 300km to this cause by running overnight during said weekend.
For this run, Majulah Movement aims to clock a total distance of 869km, which is the combined distance that their 5,000 meal deliveries have covered to date, within a space of 48 hours in support of their beneficiaries.
And if their goal is reached, their corporate sponsor has pledged to make a donation to the cause, by funding the cost of meals and treats for the next month.
The event is free to enter and everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are running or walking, but donations are welcome.
In order to clock your run, simply use any running app such as Strava, MapMyRun, Garmin Connect or Runkeeper – or even your running watch. They’re not fussy.
And submit your run screenshot(s) to bit.ly/mm869 when you are done with your run(s) so that your mileage can be counted.
So what are you waiting for? Check out more details here.
