Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) is gearing up for the return of a full-scale event this December.
Puma to be apparel and footwear sponsors
According to race organisers, the IRONMAN GROUP, global sportswear brand Puma will be the official apparel and footwear sponsor. This is the first time SCSM and Puma are partnering, with Puma providing the event’s 2022 Running Singlet, Marathon Finisher t-shirt, Kids Dash t-shirt and other event apparel.
Participants across all categories (except the Kids Dash) will receive the 2022 Running Singlet.
Runners who are unsure of their sizing may try on the sizes of the Running Singlet, Marathon Finisher t-shirt and Kids Dash shirt at the 313@Somerset store, beginning 1st September. As well, they may enjoy a 20% discount storewide. This discount includes the new range of Puma Nitro shoes.

Puma pacers led by Running Department
The partnership also launches the Puma Pacers, a 70-strong team who will lead runners in the Marathon and Half Marathon to complete their race in their desired timings.
Leading up to the race, the Puma Pacers will undergo a rigorous training programme lasting 16 weeks by local running club Running Department.
And participants who wish to join the Puma Pacers on their training runs can partake in eight delegated sessions, details of which will be shared on the SCSM website and social media pages soon.
Medal designs feature iconic Singapore landmarks
The medal designs for the various categories have also been unveiled and feature two of Singapore’s most famous icons, the Merlion and the Orchid.
Additionally, those taking part in the Double Up Challenge will receive an extra finisher medal on top of their race distance category medals that features prominent Singapore landmarks such as the Singapore Flyer and the gardens by the bay.
Double Up Challenge participants can take part in either the 5km or 10km on Saturday and either the half or full marathon on Sunday.
The medal for the Kids Dash was unveiled too, featuring a cute cartoon lion representing Singapore in a fun way. The Kids Dash will take place on Saturday 2 August from 6pm to 9pm and children aged between two to 12 years old will run a 650-meter route along the F1 pit building, another of Singapore’s iconic landmarks.
