The 21.1km Half Marathon category at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) has sold out, after the last available slots were taken up yesterday.
Ekiden and Marathon are also sold out
This category is the third one to be sold out, after the ekiden and 42.195km Marathon – the latter of which had completed registrations last week for the first time in the event’s history.
For myself, I will be taking part in the Marathon and am looking forward to running the new routes, which will bring runners through some of the well known heritage and cultural landmarks of Singapore, such as Chinatown and Little India.
The popularity of the Marathon and Half Marathon categories shows a changing trend amongst registrations as participants trade up to take part in the longer distance races.
SCSM takes place on 3 December
The SCSM takes place on 3 December and the Half and Full Marathons flag off simultaneously at 4.30am under the bright Christmas lights of Orchard Road.
Race expo and entry pack collection at Marina Bay Sands for the first time
The SCMS race expo and entry pack collection is taking place from 30 November to 2 December at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre for the first time.
And in addition to collecting their entry packs, runners can also look forward to a variety of activities like virtual reality running routes and yoga classes, as well as to get expert advice on conditioning and race day preparations, and enjoying exclusive on-site discounts off merchandise, running apparel and equipment from the event’s sponsors and partners.
Runners can still sign up for the 10km Race and the Kids Dash
Runners who are still keen to take part in the race can sign up for the 10km and Kids Dash categories at www.singaporemarathon.com. There are less than 100 slots for the 10km Run and fewer than 300 spaces left for the Kids Dash.
