National marathoner Soh Rui Yong, 24, has just been signed on by local food and beverage company YHS, as the brand ambassador for the popular H-TWO-O/Yeo’s isotonic drink.
Soh is happy to help a local brand grow
And the marathoner is happy to tie up with this company. He said, “The story of a Singaporean company supporting the dreams of a Singaporean athlete is one that I am very happy to be a part of. Including the H-TWO-O/Yeo’s drinks as part of my hydration regimen will definitely help me in my training and competition. I look forward to helping the Yeo’s brand grow as I pursue my Olympic quest.”
Soh was chosen for his attitude and perseverance
Soh had been chosen because YSH believes that his “never say die” attitude and perseverance to constantly push his boundaries, truly embodies the philosophy of the brand. For example, after having succeeded in clinching the gold medal at last year’s South East Asian Games (Marathon) event, Soh is now training hard to become the first Singaporean to successfully qualify for the Rio Olympics.
Said Melvin Teo, Group CEO of YHS, “Rui Yong is a talented and diligent athlete with a promising running career. As a Singapore grown company, we want to support our local athlete to elevate his sports performance to the next level.”
He added, “Rui Yong’s determination and perseverance is an inspiration to all of us and these qualities resonate with the H-TWO-O brand value and spirit. We are looking forward to our partnership with him and we are confident it will be a mutually rewarding one.”
Soh will promote the brand and be the new face for the company’s advertising campaigns
As a YHS ambassador, Soh will be promoting the brand and sharing his hydration plans during training sessions and races on his social media accounts. He will also be the new face to front the isotonic drink’s advertisement campaigns.
