This is the 15th edition of the race
The 2018 edition of the race will be the 15th J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, and the event will again be taking place in the Central Business District, with a finish line adjacent to one of Singapore’s iconic sporting landmarks – the F1 Pit Building, at the beautiful Marina Bay area.
Open to all full time employees of local businesses and corporations
This 5.6km race is open to full time employees of local businesses and corporations. Each registered company must enter a minimum of four employees.
A race village for runners to mingle and network
After the race, there will be a race village set up for runners to mingle and network with their colleagues and clients, further encouraging camaraderie.
I had been at last year’s event of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge and there was indeed lots of fanfare, with some tents selling food and drinks on-site, and many companies even having catered full buffet spreads for their employees to dig into after they had completed their run.
Part of the global J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is part of the global J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge series, a run that was initially launched to encourage companies to put aside work on a workday, for fun and fitness.
Singapore is the second stop
Singapore is set to be the second stop of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series this year. The Singapore race made its debut in 2004 and attracted more than 14,300 runners from about 324 companies.
