The 2020 Desaru Coast MultiSport Festival

This April, Desaru Coast Malaysia is set to host the inaugural Desaru Coast MultiSport Festival presented by IRONMAN® from 17 – 19 April.

The 2020 Desaru Coast MultiSport Festival is the first of its kind in Asia and it will host the IRONMAN® 70.3® Triathlon, 5150 Desaru Coast, Sprint Desaru Coast and the IRON KIDS Desaru Coast.

IRONMAN® 70.3® sold out

Sold out four months prior to race day, the IRONMAN® 70.3® Desaru Coast is already a proven hit among triathletes, especially with 60 qualifying race slots available to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.

The bulk of the participants (68.44%) come from all over the world, with Malaysians making up the other 31.56%.

While the IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlon may already be sold out, the organisers are calling for participants who want to enter the triathlon world for the first time, to participate in the 5150 Desaru Coast and Sprint Desaru Coast.

Slots for these categories are available and will be tailored to first-timer friendly formats.

And for parents who want to turn the event into a family affair, registration for IRON KIDS® Desaru Coast opened on 15 January 2020. This category will feature the bike for the first time, truly giving the kids the triathlon experience.
