Singapore’s only consumer lifestyle exhibition – SITEX 2019 – is back from 28 November – 1 December at the Singapore Expo Halls 5 and 6.

Something to cater to everyone

And this year, the event is primed to pique the interest of gamers, gaming, technology enthusiasts and digital artists – with an exciting line-up at the Gaming Zone that include arcade classics like Columns, Bomberman, Mario Kart, Metal Slug X and old-school “versus” fighting games like Super Street Fighter II, as well as consoles from yesteryear such as SEGA Satum, Nintendo Entertainment System, Neo Geo and the original PlayStation.

Regardless of whether you are a professional gamer or a parent looking for some family-friendly activities during your weekend outings, SITEX’s Gaming Zone will allow attendees from all walks of life to experience the different types of games on showcase during the event.

At SITEX 2019, audiences can look forward to free-to-play gaming experiences ranging from mobile and consoles to arcade classic and e-sports tournaments at the Gaming Zone, and even the little ones will not be left out.

At the MSI Carnival Zone, you can stand a chance to win some attractive prizes by taking part in the MSI Gaming Triathlon Challenge 2019, where players will face off in three separate 1v1 game challenges randomly drafted out of a pool of 10 games and include golden classics like Tetris and Puzzle Bobble as well as modern-day favourites like Street Fighter V and Fifa 2020.

And mobile gaming fanatics will also be able to get their hands on PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG) Mobile exclusive PUBGM x Vivo Premiums that will only be available at SITEX, as well as the chance to experience Vivo’s gaming smartphones.

A SITEX media drop

To promote the exhibition, SITEX recently sent me a media drop consisting of a USB drive in the shape of a cassette tape and a Virtual Reality headset, which I had thought was quite cool and interesting.

Set to provide an interactive experience for all visitors

Says James Boey, Executive Director SingEx Exhibitions, organisers of SITEX, “The Gaming Zone at SITEX 2019 has been carefully curated to promote inclusivity and provide interactive experiences for visitors from all ages and backgrounds. We want to attract families, avid gamers and designers to enjoy a full spectrum of gaming opportunities and digital art at the exhibition.”

He continued, “Through the various new initiatives in place, we are confident that visitors will be thoroughly engaged at this year’s Gaming Zone – a true reflection of SITEX’s longstanding concept of a Digital Playground.”

Digital Arts Workshops

Besides the Gaming Zone, digital arts workshops organised by the East Asia Institute of Management will also be available for attendees.

Gaming gadgets and accessories

And the latest gaming gadgets and accessories will be available for sale too – from custom gaming computer company Aftershock PC and home-grown gaming chair company SecretLab.

As well, Dell will be showcasing their latest Alienwear Aurora Desktop R9, an absolute delight for gaming enthusiasts. This latest gaming sensation comes with an unmatched thermal design that is equipped with the innovative PSU swing-arm, allowing airflow through the side vent and thereby efficiently reducing CPU temperatures to ensure a stable performance and higher overclocking, resulting in higher frames per second while gaming.

Digital Arts and Technology Battle

Moreover SITEX attendees will also have the chance to witness the inaugural Digital Arts and Technology Battle Arena competition which seeks to attract top talent from Singapore and the region, with over S$380,000 worth of study grants and scholarships at the School Of Design, Media and Arts up for grabs as prizes.
